Was your garden fantastic this summer? Were you successful in growing groceries?
In a post on The Boomer Chronicles, Rhea, a Boston-based journalist, writes about “When Is Summer Over?”
She talks about her friend Ted, a 59-year-old boomer, who smashes pounds and pounds of tomatoes to can.
“Ted has a green thumb and makes the most of his garden patches,” Rhea said.
Let me know how your garden grew.
My gardening efforts weren’t as great as I had hoped.
I didn’t get my garden area spaded.
I didn’t get my seeds planted.
Well, there’s always next year.
And, in the Pacific Northwest, some gardeners plant winter gardens. I may try one.
Tomorrow’s Survive and Thrive Boomer Guide will describe “What Do You Grow in a Winter Garden?”
