Gift cards are the most popular present of the holiday season, and the average person buys 3.6 of them, reports the American Retail Federation.
But, be careful. You need to keep track of details about the cards and so do the friends and relatives that you give them to.
Find about expiration dates and fees. And that means the fees you pay and the fees that are automatically deducted after you buy it.
For those receiving gift cards, remember to treat them like cash. If you lose track of gift cards, they won’t do you any good.
See “What You Should Know Before You Buy a Gift Card” for details.
Here are the top 10 gift cards for this holiday season, according to the website CardPool.com:
10. Victoria's Secret
9. Crate & Barrel
8. Southwest Airlines
6. Pottery Barn
2. Best Buy
Best wishes with your holiday shopping. I hope everything goes well.
