What were your best and worst consumer experiences this week?
March 28, 2010
Which consumer happenings cheered you recently and which ones made you want to scream or weep? Here are my best and worst consumer experiences this week:
My best: Finding greeting card envelopes at Michaels in Bellingham and Tacoma
I’ve been unable to find transparent envelopes for selling my photo greeting cards in Olympia, Wash.
So when I went to visit my family in Bellingham, I checked out the Michael’s store there. I was able to find four packages.
Coming home, I stopped at the Tacoma store; another 14 packages. With 40 envelopes in a package, I’m set for a long time.
My worst: Not finding greeting card envelopes in Olympia
When I went to the Michael’s store, I wasn’t able to find the transparent envelopes I needed for selling my photo greeting cards.
When I went to the counter and asked about the size I wanted, the sales associate said another customer had bought them all. He said to come back Tuesday evening after the weekly deliveries had been made. I’d be able to find some.
I returned Tuesday. No transparent envelopes. I was disappointed – and worried because I have a deadline coming up to get my cards to a customer.
