Here in Olympia, Wash., the Washington State Department of Natural Resources will host a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mima Mounds Natural Area Preserve near Littlerock.
Volunteers and visitors will work to remove invasive Scotch broom and take part in interpretive site tours led by the site’s managers and stewards.
I hope you’re able to participate in a great, earth friendly project that gives you much joy.
