Facts and figures on Father’s Day 2010
What baby boomer blogs are saying about Father’s Day

Set up a Skype visit, if your dad is far away on Father’s Day

One of my daughters lives in California, the other in Florida.

We’ve recently installed Skype on our computers. It’s fun to be able to talk with my family and see them, especially my grandchildren.

If your dad lives a great distance from you, find out if he and you can set up Skype on your computers. You can have a great Father’s Day conversation at no cost.

It’s easy. All you need to get Skype up and running is:
  • A PC or Mac computer.
  • An Internet connection – broadband is best.
  • A webcam or web camera to make video calls.
One of my daughters didn’t have a web camera in her computer. She spent about $45 and hooked up a portable one. It works well, too.

Happy Skyping. I hope your conversations with your dad and other loved ones bring you great joy.
