Did you think video clip ‘Woman Hit in Face by Watermelon on TV Show’ was funny?

I happened to be watching television when Anderson Cooper, anchor of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360°, played a clip of a woman getting smacked hard in the face with a small watermelon on the TV show “The Amazing Race.”

IMG_2368 Cooper thought it was funny. He said he played it about 40 times.

I thought it was terrible. I cringed the first time I saw it. I didn’t want to see it again. Watermelons are hard. It must have hurt the women terribly.

Cooper did say the woman was all right.

Newslite quoted her as saying after the accident: "I can't feel my face, I have the worst headache ever."

I saw it. It wasn't funny. It was dangerous and she got hurt. I can't watch shows like America's Funniest Home Videos because of lot of the clips have to do with people having accidents. Not funny at all.

Hi Rhea,

One of my Facebook friends said that the woman was required to continue playing the game rather than getting medical attention. That's outrageous.

I thought this was hilarious! Especially after you knew she was alright. But at first, before I saw it I didnt think it was funny. If I were there, I would have been that blond lady who told her she had to continue immediately after. Watermelons are hard. But they are not solid. Im sure she felt pain but no lingering effects. So its unfortunate that everybody is getting a laugh on her but whats most important is that she is alright
