How to make a pecan pie
December 29, 2010
We had a pecan pie for our Christmas dinner. It was yummy.
People asked, "What’s in it?"
Here’s a recipe for pecan pie:
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups pecan halves
1 unbaked pastry shell
In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, and vanilla; mix well. Pour into an unbaked pie crust; sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
