AARP awards for Movies for Grownups
February 27, 2011
Every year AARP gives awards for the movies it thinks are best, called Movies for Grownups.
The top 10 movies AARP selected among those introduced in 2010 are:
- "The King's Speech"
- "Secretariat"
- "Get Low"
- "RED"
- "Letters to Juliet"
- "The Company Men"
- "The Kids Are All Right"
- "Another Year"
- "City Island"
- "Casino Jack"
See "Our Starry Night in Hollywood" for information on other movies receiving AARP's Movies for Grownups awards.
Maybe next year, I'll watch the movies AARP selects. In my article "2011 Academy Award Nominated Movies Often Too Violent, Dark," I'm critical of what Hollywood thinks are its best offerings.
