Memorial Day 2012: Let’s work for peace as we remember the wars of the past
May 28, 2012
In remembering the service men and women who have fought in wars, President Barack Obama issued a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace.
Obama designated 11 a.m. today as a time to unite in prayer. He also asked all Americans to observe in their own way the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day.
Best wishes on Memorial Day.
