Free items for veterans, active duty military on Veterans Day

On or around Veterans Day, businesses across America are offering free or discounted items to veterans and active duty military service members.
The following companies are among those participating, according to a list on the Kiplinger website. Most require proof of service, a valid
military ID, or wearing a uniform.
Food
Applebee's is offering a free entrée on Nov. 11, dine-in only.
Bar Louie is offering a free meal up to a $12 value on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11.
California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free pizza from its menu – dine-in only and at participating locations – Nov. 11.
Chili's is offering a free entrée, from a limited menu, on Nov. 11.
Golden Corral will hold its annual free military appreciation dinner Nov. 11 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dinner is open to friends and family of military members, but they’ll have to pay the regular dinner menu pricing.
Krispy Kreme will give a free doughnut and coffee on Nov. 11.
Little Caesars Pizza will be giving a free order of Crazy Bread on Nov. 11.
LongHorn Steakhouse is offering a free Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage Nov. 11 through Nov. 14.
McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants will offer a free entrée from a special menu Sunday, Nov. 10., dine-in only.
Olive Garden is giving a free entrée from a special menu on Nov. 11. Family members will receive a 10 percent discount on their meals.

Parks
Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission Nov. 8 through Nov. 11.
Knotts Berry Farm is offering free admission Nov. 4 through Jan. 5, 2014.
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is offering 50 percent off single-day admission tickets through Nov. 11 to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place.
U.S. National Parks will waive entrance fees for everyone at more than 100 parks over Veterans Day Weekend, Nov. 9 through Nov. 11.
