Recall of the Week: Millions of cars due to faulty airbags that emit schrapnel when deployed

Honda_Odyssey

About 12 million worldwide cars are being recalled because the airbags may eject pieces of metal when the airbags are deployed, injuring the driver and front seat passenger.

The airbags were manufactured by Takata Corp., a Japanese maker of vehicle safety parts .

See the International Business Times article “Takata Airbag Recall: Does Your Car Have One of Those Dangerous, Shrapnel Spitting Airbags?” for a list of the cars involved.

You call your dealer and enter your VIN number at http://recall.carfax.com.

Regulators say four people have died due to the faulty airbags.
