Today’s consumer tip: Get away from trucks when you’re driving in bad weather

Recently, a couple of semi trucks jackknifed in Seattle, causing traffic jams during heavy rainstorms.
It prompted a state highway official to advise drivers to stay away from trucks during rainstorms because they spray so much water it’s difficult for drivers to see.
Good advice. If you can’t pass safely, drop back and move to a lane as far away from the truck as you can.
