Shopping tips for Cyber Monday

If you don’t like shopping on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday isn’t your thing, and you skipped Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday sales may interest you.

ShopSavvy, a mobile shopping app, offers its analysis of holiday sales, looking at data from the top 100 retailers to determine which stores have meaningful Cyber Monday sales.

Electronics – Most number of products on sale:

1. Best Buy – 638
2. Target – 409
3. Walmart – 257

Electronics – Biggest average discount:

1. NewEgg – 71 percent
2. Best Buy – 37 percent
3. Think Geek – 29 percent

Home and family – Most number of products on sale:

1. Best Buy – 1,385
2. Home Depot – 1,187
3. Target – 1,175

Home and family – Biggest average discount:

1. Home Depot – 38 percent
2. Walmart – 37 percent
3. West Elm – 37 percent

Clothing – Most number of products on sale:

1. Nordstrom – 20,057
2. Kohls – 12,468
3. JC Penny – 8,946

Clothing – Biggest average discount:

1. Men’s Warehouse – 58 percent
2. Jack Threads – 49 percent
3. H&M – 46 percent

3. Brookstone – 44 percent

Be sure to compare prices before you make your purchases, watch out for low prices or free offers, use secure websites, print out the order or save it to your computer, get a tracking number.
