Thanksgiving Day: What are your memories?
November 27, 2014
As I looked through my photos of previous of Thanksgiving dinners, it made me think about all the family celebrations I had with my family when I was growing up, then later celebrations when I became an adult and had children of my own.
The photo above was taken at my Aunt Mable Kenyon’s home in Cashmere, Wash., circa 1956. My Aunt Mable was the matriarch of my dad’s family. We’d gather in Cashmere, about a two hour drive from our home, for the holidays.
That’s my mom, second from the right, with my Aunt Mable to her right. My dad is the good looking guy at the end of the table in the suit and tie. My sisters and I are on left: Myrna, me, then Marlene.
Memories.
I’m thankful for my family and the good values that my parents gave me.
This year, I’m thankful to being able to share a Thanksgiving meal with my daughter and her family. I’m also thankful for good health, interesting blogging work, and positive relationships with my family and friends.
So, happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. I hope your life is going well and you are achieving your life’s dreams and goals.
