Today's consumer tip: Vote and participate in government
November 13, 2014
Sen. Elizabeth Warren was on Late Night with Seth Meyers Tuesday, and she talked about the importance of supporting government and helping to make it work effectively.
Warren said government works well for the banks, businesses, and the rich. The challenge, she said, is getting it to work effectively for other Americans.
The work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is one way government is helping Americans. It's a small agency, created after the Great Recession, to protect consumers from unfair financial practices. It has returned billions of dollars to consumers since it was created.
So, vote and work to support candidates who will help America move forward. It's important. We all need to be involved to make America the place it should be for everyone.
