Recall of the Week: Amy's Kitchen dinners due to possible Listeria contamination

Amy’s Kitchen is recalling about 73,897 cases of dinners with the code dates and manufacturing codes listed below.

This recall is based on a recall notice from one of Amy’s organic spinach suppliers that Amy’s may have received organic spinach with the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

Amy’s Kitchen isn't aware of any illness complaints related to the recalled products. But, to be cautious, the company's recalling these products based on the recall notice it received from supplier.

The recalled products were distributed to stores nationwide in the United States and in Canada.

The recalled products are identified in below, and no other products or varieties are included in this recall.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Consumers who have any of the products identified in the chart are urged to dispose them or return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or refund.

Consumers can also call Amy’s at 707-781-7535 Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT.
