Best wishes on Memorial Day

Veterans_bigWhether you’re visiting a cemetery to remember a loved one, helping veterans who are homeless, attending a Memorial Day event, hosting a barbecue, shopping at the Memorial Day sales, traveling to an exciting destination, relaxing at home, advocating for peace, or working, I hope you’re having a good Memorial Day.

Pres. Barack Obama proclaimed Memorial Day, May 25, “as a day of prayer for permanent peace.” The proclamation designates 3 p.m. local time on that day as a time for all Americans to observe, in their own way, the National Moment of Remembrance.

In addition to remembering Americans who have died in wars, Obama ask that the nation ensure all our veterans have access to the care and benefits they have earned and deserve.

Best wishes to you on this day of remembrance.
