Recall of the Week: Ace Bayou bean bag chairs due to suffocation and choking hazards
Watch out for dangerous, toxic toys this holiday season, consumer group advises

Baby boomer bloggers focus on December happenings

A poinsettiaLaura Lee Carter of Adventures of the New Old Farts is the host for this week’s Best of Boomer Blogs #430.

In the “Blogging Boomers Winter Solstice Edition,” Carter gives a report on what our bloggers are doing around the Solstice.

They’re writing about Christmas miracles; how sunlight is fantastic after returning from Norway, where darkness reins this time of year; a toy drive that served 4,500 families; and a survey that shows consumers like credit unions, banks that operate mostly online, and smaller banks rather than the four largest banks.

Carter ends her report by sharing her links on the sweetness of doing nothing and the challenges of living in the present.

She says she’s thinking of the winter solstice much more than that whole crazy Christmas scene. And, she says, rural Southern Colorado, where she recently moved, has no holiday traffic and crowds.

However you enjoy this winter break, be sure to enjoy it thoroughly.
