Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling 107,280 cans of Chicken of the Sea tuna and Bumble Bee Foods is recalling 1.7 million cans of Bumble Bee tuna.

The tuna may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction, which was discovered during an inspection, the companies said. These errors were part of the commercial sterilization process and could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness.

No illnesses have been reported, the companies said.
