Happy New Year
January 01, 2017
It’s been quite a year, 2016. We thought we’d get an average Democratic for our president. Instead, we got an erratic, thin-skinned Republican who pretended to be a populist. In addition, Republicans took control of the Senate and kept control of the House of Representatives.
There’s no doubt things will change, big time, for consumers. Somewhat for the middle class, substantially for the poor. And, there’ll be a big recession. It’s just uncertain when it will occur and how big it will be.
So, what I’m going to do is work on getting as much joy as I can. Visiting with my kids and grandkids. Enjoying time with friends. Traveling. Organizing wine tasting tours. Planting a garden and working in my yard.
And, I’ll keep writing about consumer issues. There should be lots of news as Trump’s billionaire cabinet works on dismantling the federal government and slashing programs that help people.
Happy 2017. It’s going to be a roller coaster ride.
