Women’s March: More than 10,000 people crowd Washington state’s capital
January 22, 2017
It was a historic event. Thousands of people came to the Washington state capital for the Women’s March on Saturday to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump, what he’s said in the past, and his possible policies.
Many wore pink Pussycat Hats.
All age groups attended:
Seniors.
Young people.
Men.
And the signs said it all. People were concerned about:
Women’s rights.
Justice.
Love.
Reproductive rights.
Rights for all.
Taking action.
The environment.
Science.
Democracy.
Health care.
Peace.
Returning to the past.
Working together.
Respect for women.
Immigration.
Uniting with love.
The Trump Administration is going to be tough on consumers and citizens. Hopefully, all those who marched in Olympia and through the United States will continue to be active and make their voices heard so reasonable policies and laws will be adopted.
