Happy Memorial Day
May 29, 2017
Whether you’re visiting a cemetery to remember a loved one, attending a Memorial Day event, hosting a barbecue, shopping at the Memorial Day sales, traveling to an exciting destination, or relaxing at home, I hope you’re having a great Memorial Day.
This is the ninth time I’ve extended Memorial Day wishes to my readers. This year, it’s unusual because there is so much uncertainty in the Trump area about what he intends to do with his increases in military spending and how much he’s going to cut benefits for veterans.
It’s just wrong to ramp up the nation’s military activity while providing such poor care for veterans.
As I’ve written before, the U.S. government must improve the care it provides to veterans. And, the mismanagement of the Veterans Administration must stop.
Best wishes to you on this day of remembrance.
