Boomer bloggers write about food, drink, loss, and death

Laura Carter ViewLaura Lee Carter of the Adventures of the New Old Farts tells us she loves gardening early in the morning in the yard around her new solar home in Southern Colorado.

The temperatures aren’t too bad at the 7,000-foot elevation, and their solar home is keeping her and her husband cool in the summer. The highest temperatures have been in the low 90s, and the well-insulated stucco home hasn’t gone up past 76 degrees inside yet, with no need for air conditioning. Every room has a ceiling fan when more air flow is needed.

When Carter couldn’t sleep, she got up early and wrote a report on what our boomer blogging group is up to. She reports they’re writing articles on saying goodbye to a friend, cutting your alcohol consumption, eating spam throughout the decades, and viewing the pros and cons of major life changes.

See the Best of Boomer Blogs #505 for the links to these articles.

Carter wishes us a happy summer and suggests we have some fun while the sun shines.
