Best places to shop on Black Friday 2019

Where the Black Friday Discounts Are Concentrated By Wallethub 11-20-19

I gave up on Black Friday years ago. I went with my daughter in Sacramento. It was my idea to go to the mall and get some great deals. However, we didn’t do any research, so we didn’t “happen into” anything great. I told her on my next visits, I’d rather go for a hike than go shopping again.

However, you can score deals if plan ahead. See my article “Get Prepared for Black Friday With This Strategy Guide” for tips.

Another source of information is “2019’s Best Places to Shop on Black Friday” by Wallethub analysts.

The following is a list of the best places to shop for Black Friday:

Best Black Friday Retailers – Average Percentage Discount

1. Stage – 69.83 percent

2. Belk – 66.92 percent

3. Bealls Florida – 62.56 percent

4. JCPenney – 60.97 percent

5. Kohl's – 57.10 percent

 Other highlights from the report

  • Stage has the highest overall discount rate at 69.83 percent, whereas Ace Hardware has the lowest at 11.77 percent.

For the report, Wallethub surveyed nearly 8,000 deals from 29 of the biggest U.S. retailers’ 2019 Black Friday ad scans.
