Happy St. Patrick’s Day
March 17, 2021
I’m a quarter Irish, so I love Ireland and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
About five years ago, I went to a second-hand store to get some extra small plates to use and I happened across one with the following Irish blessing.
An Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
What a nice addition to see in my kitchen frequently.
I usually go to an Irish restaurant with a friend to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. However, this year, like last year, I’m staying home.
The restaurant wasn’t offering pickup meals today, so yesterday I picked up two dinners. I ate the corned beef and cabbage yesterday and today I’ll have the bangers and mash.
I got lucky at the grocery store. The person who helped me with my pick up groceries was willing to put some St. Patrick’s Day cookies in my grocery bag. I enjoyed several already.
I hope you have a great St. Patrick’s Day, too.
