Easter is a time Americans celebrate the resurrection of Christ and spend a lot of money to mark the holiday.
About 65 percent of Americans classify themselves as Christians, with 28 percent planning to attend an Easter service in person on Easter Sunday this year. In 2020, 32 percent of Americans attended Easter Sunday services online.
Easter-related spending in 2021 is expected to be $21.6 billion or $180 per person celebrating. An estimated $3 billion will be spent on candy.
