New deadline to get a refund if you paid a scammer through Western Union

Solar-powered umbrellas sold at Costco are being recalled due to fire and burn risks

SunVilla Corp. is recalling about 400,000 10-foot Solar LED Market umbrellas in the United States and about 33,000 in Canada. The lithium-ion batteries in the umbrella’s solar panels can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. The firm has received six reports of the lithium-ion batteries overheating. Read more →

General Mills and other corporate giants are overcharging American families as their profits soar

Swinging hammock chairs are being recalled by ShelterLogic Group due to injury risk

ShelterLogic Group is recalling about 786,000 RIO-branded swinging hammock chairs. Improper insertion of the pins provided for assembly can cause the chair’s legs to collapse, posing an injury risk to the user. With injuries climbing, be cautious when using fireworks

Over the years, I’ve written many times about kids getting their hands blown off from fireworks. It’s already happened in my state this year.
