Trader Joe’s joins big corporations in shrinking its products and keeping the price the same

It’s fantastic that the writers’ strike is over

It lasted five long months. The strike between the Writers Guild of America and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers has been settled. I’ve really missed my favorite late night host Stephen Colbert. Colbert hosted his first program after the strike on Monday. How’s your fall yard work coming along?

The weather in the Seattle area on the weekend was great. I spent two afternoons working on the yard work tasks I wrote about last week, with an emphasis on weeding. I’m almost finished. Monday it rained and I thought it was going to rain all week. However, the forecast is for a cloudy Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with sunny weather Friday and Saturday. Read more →


After four deaths, all Onewheel electric skateboards are being recalled

Future Motion is recalling 300,000 Onewheel electric skateboards. The skateboards can stop balancing the rider if the boards’ speed limits are exceeded, posing a crash hazard that can result in serious injury or death. Future Motion has received dozens of reports of incidents involving its electric skateboards, including four deaths between 2019 and 2021. Read more →
