Bloggers keep going despite winter weather

Fountain Ice Capital Grounds 2Winter is the pits. In the Seattle area, where the weather is usually moderate, we had a week of 20-degree weather and snow – just a skiff where I Iive but in Bellingham, Washington, near the Canadian border, snowfall totals varied across western Whatcom County, with some areas reporting more than 10 inches on the ground.

During our cold weather, I headed to the capital grounds in Olympia to get the above photo of the fountain, its water turned into ice.

Meanwhile, the bloggers in our group are keeping active despite winter weather:

Meryl Baer

Meryl Baer of Musings of a Shore Life is on the road again. Her objective was to flee the rain, snow, and bitter cold where she lives. And she succeeded, finding beautiful weather, tranquil surroundings, and a laid-back existence she is reluctant to leave, as she tells us in this week’s post.

Carol Cassara

Is it possible to become a sports fan in your 70s? It happened to Carol Cassara of Carol A. Cassara Writer, and she tells us all about it this week in her piece, “Wait ... Have I Become A Sports Fan?”

Laurie Stone

Do you have a mixed marriage? No, Laurie Stone of Laurie Stone Writes isn’t talking race, religion, or politics. But she’s talking about a difference so challenging, so fraught with misunderstanding, so bewildering, she’s wondered how her marriage takes it. Randy is an extrovert. She’s an introvert. Yet as the decades have rolled along, they’ve learned specific ways of coping with each other’s personalities.

Jennifer Koshak

In her previous post, Jennifer Koshak of Unfold and Begin reminded us that while we get older, we don’t have to get old. Her current post, “Discover the Joy of Trying New Hobbies,” gives us some ideas about things we can try to keep us learning and growing.

Rebecca Olkowski

Rebecca Olkowski with BabyBoomster.com has been busy getting ready for her daughter’s wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico, next weekend. She would love it if you visited her YouTube channel where she does interviews, product reviews, and sometimes offers lifestyle tips @RebeccaOver60.

This is the Best of Boomer Blogs #845. Be sure to take a look at the articles and leave a comment. Bloggers love to hear from readers.

And, the best of everything to us all in surviving the rest winter. I’m dreaming about and looking forward to spring weather and planting my garden.
