Has summer gone away already?

Suddenly, last summer …

I was all set to continue a busy week of gardening and enjoying summer weather. I even looked at the weather forecast and it was all sunshine, appreciated in the rainy Seattle area.

However, it began to rain; then it rained some more. Almost an entire week of rain instead of the sunshine I’d expected. We even had a thunderstorm or two, unusual for this area. Darn. I hope summer isn’t over.

Rain? OMG already? Rainy season will not happen till after the holidays... so we haven't seen what nearby communities have here.

I grew up in Central Washington, over the Cascade Mountains, which has normal seasons and not much rain. I forget every year when it's sunny in July that I live in a rainy place. Then, when the rains start again, I get surprised. Funny.
